Dr. V. Aravind Subramanyam - fondly known as “Sastha Aravind” is the President and spiritual visionary behind Shri Maha Sasthru Seva Sangam.

A management consultant by profession, Shri Aravind is renowned as a scholar, orator, prolific author, and passionate devotee of Lord Ayyappa. His spiritual journey began in childhood, with annual pilgrimages to Sabarimala since the age of four. His life exemplifies the fusion of rigorous scholarship, spiritual practice, and community leadership.

Beyond his career, Dr. Aravind’s true calling emerged through his devotion and research into the ancient traditions of the Sabarimala Temple and Ayyappa bhakti. He has authored at least ten distinguished books, the most celebrated being Shri Maha Saastha Vijayam, a massive 882-page purana covering Puranic stories, hymns, and the spiritual significance of Shasta worship. His in-depth study of palm-leaf manuscripts and his exploration of historic Saastha temples across Tamil Nadu and Kerala have positioned him as the “go-to” authority on Sabarimala’s sacred traditions.
